The answer is simple. Count the number of openings in the wire mesh within one lineal inch from the center of one wire to the center of the next wire. For example, if you are looking at an 8 x 8-mesh there should be 8 openings within one inch and the same in the other direction. This gives you the count of the wire mesh being 8 x 8 mesh.
Standard sizes of rolls of wire mesh are 36” x 100’, 48” x 100’ and 60” x 100’ for most alloys. Galvanized is available in 24” x 100’, 30” x 100’, 36” x 100’, 48” x 100’ and 60” x 100’. Special sizes are available upon request.
Yes. Almost every type of wire mesh can be cut down to your desired size. WIRE CLOTH MAN is able to slit and cut your exact dimensions.
It depends on the material you are ordering. Some materials can be cut by hand with a regular scissor while others require an automated industrial shear. Yes, WIRE CLOTH MAN does have all the tools required to cut any material to your desired size.
Welded wire mesh is a grid of wires that is held together by a resistance weld. While woven wire mesh is wires crossed over and under one another to create a grid. Think similarly to how a fabric cloth is made.

Start by determining the length and width of the piece in feet. Then, take your length and multiply it by your width. This will determine the square feet of the piece.

All woven material has a crimp style associated with the wire. Most common is the plain weave but a double inter-crimp and lock crimp are available as well.
