Stainless Steel 316 Wire Mesh

Stainless steel type 316 is almost identical to stainless steel type 304 except for the fact that it is more corrosion resistant. This is due to its low carbon content. The main difference between types 316 and 304 is the chemical makeup of the metal itself. Simply adding a little bit of molybdenum gives Stainless steel type 316 the extra strength and resistance lacking in type 304. Stainless steel type 316 tends to thrive in conditions with a lot of salt, making it conducive for ocean and marine environments. Stainless Steel 316 can be produced in a range of mesh sizes from a 4″ opening to as fine as 635 openings per inch. The greater the mesh count, the smaller the opening of the mesh.
